NSW U 14 State Club Championships.

This weekend 13th – 15th February will see 19 Teams compete in the NSW U 14 Club Championships in Tamworth with 3 of them coming from Sydney University.

The Blue’s coached by Mark McNamara, Gold coached by Lindsay Cotterill and Suns by Jai McNamara will be out to test themselves against the best and win, lose or draw they will gain enormously from the experience of playing so many games in a short period of time

For many boys this will be their first taste of competition at a State Level and this Tournament also serves as a selection criteria for NSW representative teams.

On a personal level it marks an notable co-incidence and that is, I can vividly remember my son Cody Ingram and Wil Cotterill playing in this same tournament in Tamworth 5 years ago. On Tuesday Night this week they both will make their National League debut against the Freemantle Mariners proving we have a viable pathway for our Juniors.

Congratulations and best of luck to all the Boys, Coaches and Managers. To the parents attending a Tournament for the first time enjoy the experience, make the most of new friendships forged over Water Polo and ready yourselves for a journey that could lead all the way representative teams and National League with the Sydney University Lions.
