Ten weeks from today we will all be assembling for the first Friday in September ‘Blue & Gold’ Water Polo Luncheon.
Once again, the venue for this very popular function will be the wonderfully spacious and naturally lit ballroom at The Ivy (320 George Street, opposite Wynyard Station).
On Friday 4th September 2015, you and your guests will be magnificently “fed and watered” and thoroughly entertained (refer the attached précis of last year’s lunch), before repairing to the convivial Paling Bar with a complimentary drink voucher in hand. As he did last year, Adam Spencer will moderate highly amusing discussions with two panels of Sydney Uni aspiring 2016 Olympians (mostly Water Polo players) for the Rio de Janeiro Games.
Irrespective of whether your principal association is/was with the Men’s or Women’s Water Polo Club, we want you to be there.
Those of you in business decision-making positions might like to consider hosting a corporate table. Others of you might consider organising or joining tables of Lions’ players from your era – be that the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s or 2000 onwards. Perhaps you’d be interested in being part of VIP tables which will include representatives from Water Polo Australia, NSWIS and Clubs against which we compete? Other table options could be parents of junior players; parents of senior/past players; Lions’ sponsors or members of a premiership-winning team (whatever the grade). Please nominate your seating preference on the attached booking form.
Seating will be allocated on a “first in, first served” basis, so do complete and promptly return the attached booking form to secure front-of-house seating. Please note that credit card payments/cheques will not be processed until one week before the 2015 ‘Blue & Gold’ Water Polo Luncheon.
I guarantee that you will have a terrific afternoon at The Ivy Ballroom on Friday 4th September and I very much look forward to seeing you there.
